Comprehensive ADHD Assessment
Our ADHD assessments are conducted by consultant psychiatrists and specialist doctors with extensive experience in diagnosing ADHD in adults. We follow NICE-compliant approach using the internationally recognised DIVA 5 (Diagnostic Interview for ADHD in Adults, version 5), which is based on DSM-5 diagnostic criteria.
Your assessment will include:
- A comprehensive clinical interview, exploring current symptoms and how they have impacted your functioning throughout life.
- A detailed review of your childhood history, educational and work experiences, and emotional wellbeing.
- Use of Wender Utah rating scale, ASRS such as DIVA-5, ensuring a structured and standardised approach to assessment.
- Consideration of any co-existing mental health or physical health conditions.
If a diagnosis of ADHD is made, the same appointment will also include a personalised discussion of your management options, which includes:
- Non-pharmacological strategies such as psychoeducation, coaching, lifestyle changes, and cognitive behavioural approaches.
- A full explanation of ADHD medication options, including how they work, potential benefits, and possible side effects.
If you decide to proceed with medication, our doctors will:
- Initiate treatment safely and appropriately
- Provide a private prescription for your first supply of medication
- Offer guidance on what to expect and how to monitor your response
We ensure every client receives a clear, personalised treatment plan tailored to their needs.
Follow-Up & Titration Appointments
Once you start medication, we don’t just leave you on your own. We offer follow-up titration appointments to carefully monitor your response and adjust your medication to achieve the best results with the fewest side effects.
Your assessment will include:
At our clinic, all titration follow-up appointments are conducted by qualified ADHD doctors — not non-medical prescribers, as is often the case at other clinics. We believe this is crucial because:
